Creating, editing and deleting Products
EEXAR provides two ways when it comes to create and edit Products, you can execute these actions:
- Manually
- by EXCEL import
Info:
Products deletion is only possible through manual action.
Manually
Create Products
To create products manually
- Navigate to a Product folder.
- Click New.
- Choose Manually.
- Fill in the Product information.
- Click Create.
Note:
Three information are mandatory when creating a product:
- Product name
- Reference
- Category (at least one)
After creating a product, you will be prompted to choose whether to create another one right after, you can do so by clicking YES, otherwise click NO.
Edit Products
To edit products manually
- Navigate to a Product detailed view.
- Choose the information to update.
- Hover your cursor over the information and click the Pen icon.
- Change the information and click Update.
Note:
You can also edit Products details directly from the Products list view by clicking on the relevant one. Note that only the one displayed in the table are editable, if you need to edit some details not shown you'll have to do it in the detailed view or add the Product details you need to the list view via the Content Display settings.
Delete Products
To delete products manually
- Navigate to a Product folder.
- Select the products to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Type "DELETE" in the dialog box that appears to confirm.
XLS Import
Create Products
To create products through XLS Import
- Navigate to a Product folder.
- Click New.
- Choose Excel Import.
- Click on the panel or Drag & Drop a file.
- Click the icon.
Note:
Any wrong entry in the XLS, for example text instead of number for prices, will be skipped, more about it
here. You can have a look at the row processed by the system in your Notifications panel.
If you don't have the notification, navigate to your Personal Preferences settings and enable it.
Update Products
To update products through XLS Import
Update the needed information in your XLS, then:
- Navigate to a Product folder.
- Click New.
- Click on the panel or Drag & Drop a file.
- Click the icon.
Warning:
Make sure to update only the details needed, otherwise the system will mass update the entire product database as soon as it founds a change in the product data.
